Overview

Here we will look at the different files that go into making a document template. You can create your own document templates easily using the [File > Save as Template] command. This will be discussed in the third section of this tutorial series. All of the files discussed below are created automatically.

The Location of the Document Templates

The document template files in the Templates tab of the Resource Manager window are saved in WebEditor 2006\lib\AppLib\Component under the Namo WebEditor 2006 installation folder.



2.	Each subfolder under the Component folder corresponds to each folder in the category list on the left of the Component tab of the Resource Manager.

Components of the Document Templates

1.	folder.nif Each subfolder contains the 'folder.nif' file, which specifies information on the folder name (title), and folder sequence (sortkey). e.g. The folder.nif file in the Component folder

	"sortkey=1000" indicates that document templates the Component folder is located first of all the categories in the Component tab of the Resource Manager.

Document Template File (*.mht), Thumbnail File (*.bmp), and Description File (*.ni)

Each subfolder contains groups of threes consisting of an MHT file (Meta-HTML document template file), a BMP file (a thumbnail file), and a file containing the title and description of the template.
