Overview
You must upload the homepage files to a remote server to let others view your homepage on the WWW.
This uploading process is called publishing. To publish a Web site, you need a user account (ID and
password) to access the remote server. You can get the disk space for publishing homepage files from
a number of ISPs (Internet Service Providers).

Select the [File > Publish > Remote Sites] menu command. |
2. |
In the Remote Sites dialog box, select the ISP (Internet Service Provider) to which you want to

add a new ISP or a remote server, click Add.... |
|

|
3. |
In the Remote Site Settings dialog box, specify the Host and Directory under FTP
Information. Note that the Host and Directory information are different according to the ISP that
offers the user account to you. Information on widely recognized ISPs such as Tripod or
GeoCities is provided by Namo WebEditor. |

Reference
General HTML documents and images can be published without any special
settings. In other words, they are published in a binary format, which makes it unnecessary to specify
any specific settings for publishing. However file formats such as pl, cgi, and js should be published in
ASCII mode.In this case, you should register the file extensions in Namo WebEditor. To do this, select
the [Tools > Preferences...] menu command and click the Internet tab. Click the Extensions... button
at the right bottom and enter the file formats that should be transferred in ASCII mode in the Treat
files... text box.
Note
1. Even if you download files from the remote server, the files are not removed from the remote server. In
other words, 'downloading' is similar to a copying process. If you want to completely remove the files
from the remote server, select the file and press <Del> or choose Delete in the shortcut menu.
2. The Change Permission menu command is available only when the remote FTP server supports the
'chmod' command.
